DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate the closing of Planets in Transit with an evening hosted by photographer and DJ Guarionex Rodriguez\, Jr. \, as the inaugural 2026 Artist-in-Residence (A!R) presented by Ace Hotel Brooklyn × Field Meridians. \nThe night marks the debut of the exhibition’s accompanying zine alongside a limited-edition print sale by Guarionex\, a conversation around the work\, and a special DJ set by Kiana throughout the evening. \nGuests are invited to spend time with the exhibition one last time\, meet the artist\, purchase signed prints and the newly released publication in celebration of the Black\, Brown\, and queer communities and dancefloors that inspired the work. \n\nAbout The Artist \nGuarionex Rodriguez\, Jr. is a Dominican-American artist based in Brooklyn\, NY. His work explores diasporic unity and niche musical movements that have served in the creation of community and identity in the past and present. His artistic practice has been rooted in themes of trust and vulnerability that have provided a voice for multiple communities by holding space that reflects and connects with others. Simultaneously\, his experimentation through analog techniques bring elements of abstraction to his figurative images.
