Writer and creative powerhouse Danielle Prescod releases her memoir, Token Black Girl, on October 1 in Three Keys at Ace Hotel New Orleans with a reading, Q&A and book signing in partnership with The Garden District Book Shop.
In her memoir, Prescod explores racial identity, pop culture, and delusions of perfection to frame her razor-sharp and eye-opening personal story of growing up Black in an exclusive and overwhelmingly white community, and later building her impressive career in the privileged and influential world of fashion and beauty at BET, Elle, and InStyle magazine.
