Book Binding Class ~ with Hyungi Park

Explore non-adhesive bookbinding, learn all about the different tools and experience the process of stab-binding by hand with Hyungi Park.

 

The workshop

The workshop will take place in the Boardroom.

Tickets include materials for making a three different stab bound books + an informational zine.

Guests will enjoy tea during the workshop.

Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the workshop in the Lobby; the workshop will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

 

The artist

Hyungi Park is a Korean American multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, CA. She works as an artist, incense maker, bookbinder, tattooer, and designer. Park also runs Baboshop, a multi use studio for retail, events, and workshops, where she also teaches incense making and bookbinding. Hyungi’s work with incense has been featured in the New York Times and Architectural Digest, and has worked with MOCA, The Hammer Museum, Urban Outfitters, Nike, and Spotify.
