Uptown Vinyl Supreme is a DJ collective and community organization born in The Bronx, NYC paying homage to the analog roots of music, party and dance culture. Records have the power to uplift, inspire, and heal the people. Friends and lovers of vinyl, Sunny Cheeba, Buddy, and Josh Hubi take this responsibility seriously and continue to explore progressive ways in which this power can reach audiences all over the world, be it through dance gatherings, individual sessions, workshops, community supported events, private functions, or cultural institutions.

Sunny Cheeba is a Native New Yorker, born and raised in The Bronx. Sunny Cheeba’s selections know no bounds or borders. She conjures a spellbinding tapestry gathering inspiration from the timeless grooves of Soul, Funk, and Disco, to the rhythmic magic of House, Hip-Hop, and R&B, to the diasporic beats of Salsa, Reggae, Baile Funk & Afro Beats. Her mission on any given dance floor is liberation of the mind, body, and soul. “

Lovie’s music discovery was born in the digital music age: a young lover of local radio and after-school MTV marathons, her early mixes took shape in the form of burned CDs she composed for friends. In relocating from her hometown of Washington, D.C. to New York in August of 2020, Lovie’s unique selection swiftly ushered her into New York’s local music scene; she had yet to play beyond the confines of her bedroom when she pitched a show to The Lot Radio, and her show Summer School Radio quickly garnered a devoted following amongst music lovers and local DJs alike.

Lovie’s sets guarantee a sweet, soulful, and spiritual selection, as she interweaves soul, disco, and house into a sound that creates warmth, and makes you move.
