Danz CM (formerly Computer Magic) is a composer, music producer, founder of the viral media brand Synth History and record label Channel 9 Records. She composed the score for While Mortals Sleep, currently screening at the 28th Palm Springs International ShortFest. The horror short, directed by Alex Fofonoff and produced by Video Horse Films, premiered at Sundance and is making its way across the festival circuit. Danz started DJing just out of high school in New York City – she would eventually turn to music production and song-writing, where she’d release several albums and score numerous commercials, garnering a cult following in the US and greater success in Japan. Her influences include Giorgio Moroder, John Carpenter, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and more. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she is working on an upcoming synthesizer documentary.
