Join Megan Louise — magnificent muse of Desire — and special guest Jimmy Whoo all-day poolside, as they spin their favorite electronic, and french new wave from noon until magic hour.
Desire is an electronic trio formed on the snowy streets of Montreal and currently based in Palm Springs. On stage, vocalist Megan Louise pivots between French and English while draped in latex from head to toe. Joined by multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel (Chromatics, Glass Candy) and supermodel Soo Joo Park on dueling vintage synthesizers, their sound blurs the line between the dancefloor & the silver screen. As a flagship artist of the influential record label, Italians Do It Better, they have scored runways for Dior, Chanel, & Bottega Venetta as well as writing music for films by Nicolas Refn, David Lynch, & Ryan Gosling. Desire gained worldwide exposure with their hit song Under Your Spell, which was featured prominently in 2011’s neon-noir film, Drive.
Jimmy Whoo is a french beatmaker, and part of the Paris-based independent label, and collective: Grande Ville Records. He has worked and collaborated with artists such as Jazzy Bazz, Lonely Band, and Bonnie Banane.
