Joluca (pronounced yo-lu-ca) is the combined efforts of Adam Johan and David Luca. Their mission is to capture and express their mutual affinity for peak time debauchery and general weirdness – two things they know all too well. They are technicians in the studio and party starters on the decks. Expect an exciting mix of underground house, high energy disco, and minimal deep house. They have released music on notable labels such as Insomniac, Rawsome Deep, Desert Hearts, Cacao Records, Fools Gold, Westwood Recs, Whoyostro, and Percomaniacs. Their releases have hit Beatport #1 in Top 100 Releases, #2 in Deep House, and #3 in Tech House. Their tracks see regular DJ support from some of the industry’s most influential DJs such as Jamie Jones, Claude Von Stroke, and John Summit. They have remixed or collaborated with the likes of Lubelski, Smalltown DJs, BOT, Dances With White Girls, RUMPUS, Kaysin, Kid Enigma, and SOHMI. Festival appearances include Bass Coast, Astral Harvest, and Shambhala (July 2022).Adam lives in Los Angeles and is a co-founder of IO Music Academy, an in-person and online music production school. David continues to reside in their hometown of Edmonton, where he is a part of Night Vision, a collective of DJs who have worked to develop the underground house and techno scene in Edmonton over the past decade.
