Tools For Care

  • 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm | Tuesday December 13, 2022
  • Interspace | Ace Hotel Toronto
  • 51 Camden St
  • Free

Led by Renelyn Quinicot (she/her) a cis-queer Filipina artist, and movement and meditation guide, born and raised as a settler to Tkaronto.

The practice of mindfulness is the practice of remembering. Remembering the inherent wisdom of our own bodies to be able to care for and support us. Remembering who we are beyond the capitalist and colonial structures of conditioning. Over 4 bi-weekly sessions, we will gather in community to learn various meditation and movement techniques to support us for the everyday. Each session will end in a chance to journal, and connect in shared discussion. We will root this journey of Self-exploration, and -nurture in collective readings of relevant texts such as, “Who is Wellness For” by : Fariha Roisin and “My Grandmother’s Hands” by Resmaa Menakem.

This event can be attended as a full 4-session series, or through a single drop-in.
