About Doc’n Roll—
Doc’n Roll began life in 2013, when we launched the UK’s Music & Arts Documentary Film Festival as an arts discovery film fest, convinced it was time to show some love to outlier music, arts and subculture documentaries that were all too often ignored by risk-averse film programmers.
Ten years on, via our now UK-wide annual festival, one-off events and special screenings, we provide our audience with the opportunity to watch these killer documentaries in ace cinemas, as they were designed to be watched: LOUD.
In 2017, owing to strong demand from both filmmakers and audiences, Doc’n Roll expanded to include a boutique UK event cinema, distribution, and world sales service. We excel in finding theatrical, non-theatrical and direct-to-consumer routes to market for independent music documentaries across the UK and Europe.
In 2019, we launched another UK first, Doc’n Roll TV, our worldwide on-demand streaming platform that allows us to present a host of new and classic music documentaries to viewers at home.

About Jayda Abello
Jayda’s signature set is an open format mix of eclectic, lesser known cuts and classic favorites you can sing along to, spanning from all decades. You may hear post punk or 90’s boom bap alongside Italo disco, cinematic library music, exotic rare groove, and Brit pop. Jayda has been performing as a DJ for over a decade and has been collecting records for even longer, so she is adaptable to any crowd and can lean into whatever direction her clients call for. Jayda has played in nightclubs alongside national hip hop acts, performed at store openings, high end hotels and bougie brunches, hosted magazine launches, opened for punk bands, MCed sold out parties, and has even spun in a fine art museum.

Ace Artist-in-Residence: Pied-à-Terre by Alex Yudzon at A!R
Alex Yudzon has spent the past decade transforming hotel rooms into temporary studios, sculptural playgrounds, and photographic stages. Known for his idiosyncratic approach—constructing elaborate installations using only the furniture and objects found within each room—Yudzon captures these ephemeral compositions in a single photograph before dismantling the evidence and checking out. The resulting images are part still life, part performance relic, part architectural hallucination. They reflect his fascination with transience, privacy, and the absurd theater of American interiors. Pied-à-terre, his exhibition…
