DJ and record collector for over 15 years, Mari Mac Dowell, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, now resides in Brooklyn, NY, where for almost seven years she has been expanding her collection of obscure Brazilian and South African records and other eccentric tracks. As a lifelong student of the tenets of House Music, Mari is always filling her record bag with a wide range of “unshazamable” sensual club bangers, sneaky grooves, and passionate thumpers.

Her sets are always energetic with a lot of synthesizers and percussive sounds. Mari has become a regular in the booth of underground clubs such as Mood Ring, House of Yes, Jupiter Disco, Public Records, and Nightmoves among others. An inveterate music researcher, she is always looking for hidden gems to elevate her audience to higher frequencies.
