Takin’ Off w/ Young Einstein [All Vinyl Set]
- 9:00 pm - 1:00 am | Friday June 10, 2022
- Amigo Room | Ace Hotel Palm Springs
Catching the music fever at a very early age, Young Einstein has been a pivotal part of the LA underground hip-hop scene since the early ’90s. As the key component to one of the most prominent underground hip-hop group’s Ugly Duckling: as beatmaker, co-writer, and producer (signed to Interscope and Universal Records), Einstein is responsible for their upbeat, catchy sound using samples and complex scratch routines. As an avid record collector and owner of over 20,000 vinyl albums, Einstein’s love for funk, hip-hop, and soul has strongly influenced his music and DJ sets and earned him a huge cult following. Sticking true to his roots, Einstein plays strictly vinyl in his sets but he continues to influence artists of the future with his unique style and extraordinary knowledge of music. In the book Behind the Beat (Ginko Press) Einstein is featured as 1 of 28 notable music producers alongside J Dilla and Mario Caldato (Beastie Boys).
